GDPST Family,

Thank you for working with us through distance learning. We appreciate the trust you’ve placed in us to educate your student and prepare him/her for college, leadership and life. In past weeks, we have shared the GDPST Planning for Return document that outlined the general process for moving to in-person learning. Recent studies and local data indicate that schools are not the primary source of COVID spread (with the exception of sports). As you’ve seen in previous newsletters, we have detailed our plan to return in January 2021.
Please continue to check for updates through SchoolMint and via email. Make sure you complete the Re-Entry Packet that was sent to your email account associated with your SchoolMint account. This information will assist us in planning for the number of students potentially returning in January. If you have questions, contact the main office of your school.
We will host our second Virtual Community Meetings tonight, Thursday, December 3 at 6:00 PM to discuss our plan for in-person return and answer any questions you may have.

Gracias por trabajar con nosotros a través del aprendizaje a distancia. Agradecemos la confianza que nos ha tenido en enseñar a su alumno y prepararlo(a) para la universidad, el liderazgo y la vida. En las últimas semanas, hemos compartido el documento del Plan de Regreso de GDPST que describe el proceso general para pasar al aprendizaje presencial. Estudios recientes y datos locales indican que las escuelas no son la fuente principal de la propagación de COVID (con la excepción de los deportes). Como han visto en los boletines anteriores, hemos detallado nuestro plan para regresar en enero de 2021.
Favor de continuar revisando por actualizaciones a través de SchoolMint y por correo electrónico. Asegúrese de completar el paquete de Re-Ingreso que se le envió a su cuenta de correo electrónico que está asociada a su cuenta de SchoolMint. Esta información nos ayudará a planificar para la cantidad de alumnos que posiblemente regresen en enero.  Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con la oficina principal de su escuela.
Esta noche, jueves 3 de diciembre a las 6:00 PM, celebraremos nuestra segundas comunitarias virtuales para platicar sobre nuestro plan para el regreso presencial y contestar cualquier pregunta que usted pueda tener.

Need WiFi at home?

Green Dot Public Schools TN understands the technology gap that exists for families in our communities. We are proud to be able to partner with Comcast to provide six months of free internet service to enrolled families who qualify. After the six months of free service, families will have the opportunity to continue, with a nominal fee.

We have extended this opportunity to all of our current students and have received an overwhelming response. Fortunately, we are able to extend this to newly enrolled students as well. So, if there are families contemplating enrollment but are afraid they will not have access to internet for their students to attend distance learning, we will work to get them enrolled, assign a laptop and set them up with Comcast for WiFi.
