Though many find themselves exhausted by the ongoing pandemic, we have learned to persevere and thrive. Wellness, whether mental or physical, has become a priority for our organization. Green Dot Public Schools TN has taken steps to provide services that have an immediate impact on our school and neighboring communities:

• We offer weekly COVID-19 testing to students and staff through a partnership with Poplar Healthcare. Any student who has consent from a parent may come to the designated space to get a test. Results are communicated back within three days of testing.

• ShotRx is a mobile vaccination clinic. They have provided over 800 vaccinations to students, families, and members of the community at one of our five schools. COVID vaccines will be offered to schools & the community. Please use this link to schedule https://GDPSTCOVIDVaccines.as.me/:

  • February 3, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Hillcrest High
  • February 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM at Wooddale Middle School
  • February 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Kirby Middle School

• In partnership with Life Doc Healthcare, there is a full-time nurse available on each campus. Anyone in the building exhibiting symptoms of COVID can receive a rapid test in the nurse’s office.

• Social workers have been added at each school to address barriers to learning.

We will continue to persevere; even as new variants arise and COVID creates new challenges. We will continue to be resilient, engaging students in high-quality, teacher-led instruction. We will continue to believe that all students will be prepared for college, leadership, and life.
