Each year the Venice Chamber of Commerce Education Committee recognizes and celebrates 17 local teachers for their achievements in and beyond the classroom. Omar Ramirez, a history teacher at Ánimo Venice Charter High School, was among the honored teachers at the 2018 WAVE Awards.
