The Commercial Appeal, in partnership with research firm, Energage, LLC, announced today that Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee has again been recognized as one of the best places to work in the Greater Memphis area. Green Dot is excited to be acknowledged on this year’s Top Workplaces 2018 list, as professional development and empowerment of its employees are continued priorities for the organization. Green Dot employs roughly 210 individuals in the Tennessee area.
The Top Workplaces 2018 list was based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey, measuring several aspects of workplace culture. Public, private and nonprofit organizations across the city were surveyed and only 55 organizations were selected for the honor.
Green Dot Public Schools is one of the leading independent non-profit public school operators in the nation with schools not only in Memphis, but also in California and Washington state. Across its network of schools, Green Dot encourages its teachers and staff to be leaders and key decision-makers so that all students can achieve better outcomes and succeed to and through college. Green Dot is currently looking for individuals to join its excellent teachers, school leaders, and staff members across all of its regions.
“Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee is a place where students have a voice and their success is the organization's number one priority,” said Ayesha Fountain, a special education teacher at Bluff City High School. “With students as the primary focus, the ability to develop professionally is nothing more than amazing. Building strong positive relationships is vital to the development of children and Green Dot values the infrastructure it takes to build them.”
